Board Member | IFRS (ISSB)

Richard Barker was appointed as a full-time member of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) in June 2022, effective 8 July 2022. Before joining the ISSB, he served as deputy dean and professor of accounting at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, UK. In this capacity, he led Oxford Saïd’s sustainable business initiatives. He has published a wide range of academic research papers on accounting and sustainability disclosures. He has chaired the expert panel of Accounting for Sustainability (A4S) and served as a member of several committees and bodies focused on corporate reporting in the UK and Europe, including the UK Corporate Reporting Council (UK accounting standard-setter), the Financial Reporting Advisory Board and the European Accounting Association’s Accounting Standards Committee.

Prior to this, James led the UK and Worldwide Supply Chain team at CDP, working with global organisations to engage their supply chains. James has a background in international development, working in India and Africa to measure, manage, and understand the synergies between social and environmental risks, with a particular focus on tropical agricultural value chains.

As a member of the Cisco UK and Ireland Board Colin also advises on various industry forums. Colin joined Cisco in April 2000 and during his career at Cisco he has been the IT Service Owner for several different IT functions including Network Services, End User Computing, Communication and Collaboration, Cloud Productivity Applications and Application Development.

My responsibilities include overseeing ESG data, current and future ESG reporting (NFRD and CSRD), and managing relations with non-financial rating agencies and socially responsible investors. I collaborate with the Finance Department to develop sustainable financing tools, such as green and social bonds, taxonomy, and impact credit lines.
Previously, she served as the Chief Financial Officer at Groupe Support Services (G2S), an EDF Group subsidiary, where she co-led finance and CSR efforts. During her time there, she established the subsidiary's Board of Directors, chaired the CSE and CHSCT, and implemented profit-sharing and social agreements, including those on remote work and employing senior employees on fixed-term contracts.and led transformations to ensure a fair and inclusive transition.
